Integrated Design Process (IDP)
Utilising Thir13en Solutions Ltd's IDP, we assimilate a project's requirements with proprietary products and
disruptive phase change technology, design rights and plain common sense from the construction industry to achieve new levels of sustainability, along with reductions of project construction costs.
Instead of offsetting projects by using carbon credits provided by others, we ensure the project actually performs with a lower carbon footprint, both physically (in the making thereof) and operationally.
"Simply stated, if a client is not working with an integrated design process team, they're simply asking for problems to present themselves." ...especially if you're after sustainable construction.

Grow Your Vision
Imagine you can meet new environmental regulations without increasing costs?
By engineering-in design benefits that meet or exceed existing or anticipated regulations...
-
Less deflections for long spans
-
Less excavation - when using sub ground stories
-
Less foundation
-
Soil conditions becomes a lesser problem
-
Add good insulative properties (thermal, fire, sound, moisture) as a one-step solution in floor slabs and walls/columns that leads to lower cost, optimised designs...
Performance counts! Introducing the Flexibôl© - "being flexible under the roof."
What is the Flexibôl? Latin: Flexibilis, from flectó ("I bend, curve) and bôl ("sphere, ball, globe, orb").
Flexibôl is a third-generation offspring product of the Hoffman's Balls foam-glass genre, a man-made aggregate produced for its strength, fire, water-and-sound resistance, and its excellent insulation properties. An engineered spherical ball (2mm to 25mm as required through specifications) filled with air or CO2, the Flexibôl resists biaxial bending and removes dead loads unlike other solutions, while giving benefits that others cannot. Using recyclate material feed stock, Flexibôl is specifically produced for concrete applications replacing other aggregates without the use of ordinary Portland cement, in conjunction with our sustainable binder, the loads, shear and stress it can withstand is like no other.

There’s so much happening behind the scenes of Flexibôl to ensure our clients receive the highest quality, reliable aggregates or component products possible, confirmed through continuous testing and certification. To bring our exceptional production processes to light, we’ve outlined the key features of component behaviours below. Keep reading to learn the benefits you’ll receive when you choose to do business with us.
A. Manufacturing benefits:
a) Significant reductions in energy and water consumption, becoming a lower-carbon process
b) The 100% recycling of recyclate materials that others can't use into useful materials
c) The flexibility of using varied recyclate materials to achieve the same efficiencies
d) The sourcing, replacement, reuse and reductions in natural aggregate requirements through the use of recyclates
B. Production benefits:
a) The ability to produce numerous components for varied trades utilising the same basic feed-stock
b) The use of the same capital equipment for varied purposes
c) Quality controls and initial testing/certification procedures in-house in conjunction with institutional and certification bodies
d) Good quality products, higher rate of production and lower cost per unit
C. Feature benefits:
-
Sustainable ratings achieved through significant energy, water, raw material and environmental cost reductions
-
Light-weight, but strong, allowing for design improvements, dramatically reducing structural dead weight
-
Superior span and cantilevering potentials create innumerable design possibilities
-
Less downstands, beams; load-carrying walls becomes building system solutions
-
Designing with primary dry-system solutions further speeds up already fast on-site processes
-
Significant reduction in cement and steel usage throughout optimised designs
-
Lowering risks of installation, as well as lower health and safety risks
